Kaleigh Ambrose

Kaleigh Ambrose is a seasoned Landscape Designer at Velora Landscape, bringing over a decade of rich experience in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant, sustainable environments. Kaleigh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies from Lake Forest College, where she also played four years of college softball as both a pitcher and third baseman. Her academic journey included extensive fieldwork studying diverse ecosystems, particularly along the Mississippi River from Illinois to New Orleans, which deepened her understanding of native flora and fauna.

Post-graduation, Kaleigh’s career evolved from managing invasive species and leading controlled burns to rejuvenate natural areas, to specializing in landscape design. Her designs artfully blend ornamental with native plants, enhancing both beauty and ecological health.

Outside of work, Kaleigh is an avid gardener and birder, often exploring local hiking trails with her three dogs and two cats, identifying the natural inhabitants. She also cherishes spending time with family and friends, discovering new coffee shops, restaurants, beaches, and state parks. Her passion for nature and community makes her not just a professional in landscape design but a true advocate for environmental stewardship.

Hardscape

We specialize in a vast majority of materials from all over the world in order to create durable, aesthetically pleasing hardscape designs. From natural rock and flagstone to pavers and tile, our team is experienced in using custom products to design and create pathways, firepits, retention walls, planters, driveways, pool decks and patios that complement the beauty of your landscape, maximize the functionality of your outdoor space, and improve the quality of your outdoor lifestyle.

Our Process

Step 1: In Person Visitation

Our process begins with an in-person visitation where we visit your property to understand its unique characteristics and your vision for your outdoor space. During this initial meeting, we listen attentively to your ideas and goals so that we can help you accomplish your desires using our expertise, all while making suggestions for how to properly enhance the beauty and functionality of your landscape using sound horticultural practices.

Step 2: Custom Landscape Design

Following the visitation, we will craft a custom computer automated landscape design (CAD) that is tailored specifically to accomplish the goals set during the in-person visitation. This step involves meticulous planning and creative thinking to transform your ideas into a practical, horticulturally friendly, aesthetically pleasing landscape plan.

Step 3: Review Custom Landscape

Once the custom landscape design is ready, we present it to you for review. This step ensures that every element of the design is understood and confirmed. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we work closely with you to revise and refine the design for true customer satisfaction.

Step 4: Plant Procurement and Material Acquirement

One of the most crucial parts to executing an outstanding landscape vision is to ensure the quality of its materials. Our years of experience working in the Florida nursery and landscape industry has led to the development of exclusive relationships with the best growers and proven sources that the sunshine state has to offer. Unlike other landscapers that shop from local resale centers, our team travels the state to hand select every item that is used on our projects.

Step 5: Install Custom Landscape

Our skilled team ensures that every detail of the design is brought to life with precision and care. We use high-quality materials and employ the safest and most effective landscape techniques to create a beautiful, enduring outdoor space that you can enjoy for years to come.

Add Step 6: Ensure Quality

We believe in the integrity and sustainability of our designs which is why we commit ourselves to the ongoing relationship with our clients post installation. We stand behind our ability to create beautiful long term landscapes. We pledge ourselves to communicate with our customers throughout the maturing long term phase of their landscape investment in order to coach and consult them to make good decisions regarding the maintenance of their landscape and how to address the ever changing circumstances in the central Florida sub-tropical climate.
