The Vision
After the hurricanes left the grounds of Longboat Key Towers badly damaged, the community wanted its landscape back, and better than before. The community’s landscape chair arrived with reference photos and a clear palette of design and color. Velora’s task was to turn that vision into reality across the whole property.
Curated Elements
01
Botanical Curation
Storm-damaged plant beds were redesigned one at a time across the property, starting with the front beds. Each new section follows the palette from the landscape chair’s reference photos.
02
Architectural Hardscapes
Landscape rock set at the base of the new plantings defines each bed and gives it a clean, finished edge.
03
Lighting & Atmosphere
New landscape lighting in front of the buildings shines up into the bird of paradise and brings the restored beds to life after dark.
